FAQs
At what age can my student start attending?
- We work with students aged four and up who are able to focus for 10-15 minutes.
How many times a week will my student come to the center and for how long is each visit?
- Most students attend twice a week for center visits and complete Gideon assignments at home the other days. However, you can come once a week or request extra classes for an additional fee.
- Each center visit is typically 30 minutes per subject to do individual daily assignments, complete any old corrections, and review new material. A Gideon instructor will be at the table with the students to assist as needed. Most students will be seated with a 3:1 student to teacher ratio.
What level of work will my student be doing?
- During the free placement evaluation, we will find a ‘just right’ point in the Gideon curriculum based on what skills your student shows as mastered in order to fill any holes and gaps in his foundation. - Our goal is to build confidence through mastery with progress right from the start to encourage focus and concentration.
Does Gideon work with students with learning differences such as dyslexia?
- Yes, the Gideon program works well for most students, including those with learning differences. While school must continue on its schedule, we have the luxury of time to allow the student to set the pace and do any extra practice needed to truly master each level. - Yes, the Gideon program works with many special needs students. We can evaluate further if Gideon is a good fit when we meet your student during the free placement evaluation.

My daughter’s least favorite subject was math, but Ms. Neha and her team of tutors changed that. The once a week class has made a tremendous difference, she is now at 1-2 levels above her grade level. Our son wasn’t getting challenged enough in math and was falling behind in reading/comprehension. He’s been going to Gideon twice per month for almost a year and we’ve noticed a huge improvement. He’s in the 3rd grade but his math is at about a 7th grade level and his reading is almost at a 5th grade level. We will definitely continue our routine of twice per month to keep him ahead in school. And he actually loves the challenge he gets at Gideon. I noticed my daughter was behind on reading when I went to her classroom to volunteer and listened to other kids read. As much as I had practiced with her at home every night , I knew it would not be enough to get her to same level as her classmates. I was referred to the Prosper Gideon by a friend and her recommendation did not steer me wrong. This center is adaptable to schedule , has great tutors that are attentive and progress is made every week with each student. We have been here at Gideon since October 2022 and my daughter has progressed so much . My kids were behind in Math after one-year remote learning because of covid time. One kid lost almost whole-year foundation of her 5th grade math. I got plans+quotes from two different tutoring centers. This Gideon at Prosper had detailed plan not only to bring my kids back to their level, but also reasonable tuition fee. After 2 months of summer break, Neha and her tutors brought my kids back to their level. Now, the kids are very confident in both reading and (advanced) math at school. Neha is the director at the Prosper location and she is an angel! She has been so wonderful with my three kids who had fallen behind. What a Blessing Prosper Gideon has been for my son. Being new to Texas and starting high school, the struggle was real in the beginning.Ms.Neha and the Staff have been super supportive in helping my son. The small group and individual session have help tremendously ! My son’s geometry grade has improved along with his other core classes. He actually looks forward to going to Gideon to stay ahead of his classmates. The college SAT prep was helpful during the summer, giving him tools to use in all his classes.I appreciate the flexible times and accommodation offered at Prosper Gideon. High school students have busy schedules, but the Gideon Team is alway accommodating to make time for the students. I am also Thankful for communication given to the parents. Back story before we were so blessed to find Gideon in Prosper -In an attempt to keep it short, last year our twin 5 year old boys went through several changes their Kindergarten year and had to switch Elementary schools and Kindergarten teachers 3 times after we sold our home in Frisco, waiting for our new home in Windsong Ranch to be built.We were completely blessed with one of our boys Kindergarten teacher once we move into our forever home - she was absolutely amazing and truly cared for our son’s well-being and advancement. It was obvious and infectious to both our son and to us as parents.Unfortunately, we had several issues with our other son’s Kinder teacher including lack of empathy, communication skills, compassion, etc. which caused a huge shift in his passion to learn, grow and thrive. This absolutely broke our hearts.Fast forward to the same week school ended, my husband and I knew something needed to change and we needed to find a place where both of our boys could continue learning throughout the summer and our sweet son would find his passion to learn, grow and thrive again. We made an appointment at Gideon after one of our friends highly recommended this center and location. We will never forget this day- it was the same evening of the last day of school. We were walking in and our son who had a really poor experience with his last teacher during his Kinder year broke down in tears in the parking lot refusing to go inside for fear his former Kinder teacher would be there telling him what all he did wrong. It was definitely a struggle to get him inside as this was new behavior for him and extremely hard for us to experience. Somehow, we finally managed to get him to go inside and boy did it change our lives forever!Now… insert NEHA!!! I literally cannot even put it into words what she did in just 30 minutes with our son. We were lucky enough to witness this first hand and immediately signed up without hesitation.Neha showed our boys (especially the one who needed it the very most) patience, kindness, compassion, praise, understanding, love and dedication. She was so sweet with him- she knows exactly what she’s doing. She immediately knew what he was missing and zeroed in on it right away.He literally walked out of there a new little boy excited to start this program and we couldn’t be more grateful for Neha that day and every day since then. She is ALWAYS available and in fact she will go out of her way outside work hours to communicate with you on your child’s progress. She is absolutely AMAZING!Our twin boys have attended Gideon Learning Academy twice per week for 3 months now and continue growing, learning and thriving. They never complain - in fact they look forward to their Gideon lessons every single time! We have seen a huge improvement and would like this continue into their First Grade year at the very minimum. My son has been going to Gideon for the past 2 years. Before he started Gideon he could barely read 4 letter words. After joining Gideon, he started to read long sentences and now he is progressing into grammar. I signed my girls up for tutor in January. I have a Elementary kid and a middle schooler I work full time, therefore I have no time to keep my kids education up to par. The ISD we attend is not beneficial to my kids education at all. I took upon myself as a mother to allow Gideon to pick up my slack to help with my kids education wise. I can truly say their aren't any regrets. In January my elementary kid could only read a few words one by one, Yesterday my daughter read an entire book without stopping and without my help. My middle school kid no longer ask for homework help with math. I truly appreciate Gideon. My elementary kid confidence is so much better. She was so embarrass at first because of her reading. All thru the day she's trying to spell a new word. Five star isn't enough stars.

The teachers and Mrs Neha are very patient and tend to kids needs. My son has phases where he just refuses to work and even in those days, they make sure constructive work gets done during tutoring sessions. They also are very adjusting with timings on days where we need to come in early or move to another day. All in all I see quite an improvement in my kid's reading/math concepts due to the structured curriculum provided by Gideon and strategies used in teaching!
